Chris Hemsworth’s Thor returns in a new Avengers: Doomsday teaser. The teaser also shows the return of Thor’s adopted daughter Love, played by Hemsworth’s real-life daughter India Rose Hemsworth.
A leaked video of the teaser from movie theatres was already shared online. However, in today’s age of AI and deepfake videos, this official teaser confirms that the footage is real.
In the teaser, Thor says that throughout his life he answered every call — for honour, duty, and war. But now destiny has given him something he never wanted before: a child and a peaceful life away from battles.
He prays to the All-Fathers to give him the strength to fight one last time, defeat the enemy, and return home safely to his daughter. He says he wants to come back not as a warrior, but as a loving father, to teach her peace and calm — something he never experienced himself.
He ends his prayer by saying, “Please, father. Hear my words.”
India Rose Hemsworth made her first appearance as Love in the 2022 film Thor: Love and Thunder. In the story, Love is the biological daughter of Gorr the God Butcher, played by Christian Bale. After Gorr dies, he briefly returns to life and, before dying on screen, leaves Love in Thor’s care.
Directors Joe and Anthony Russo, who delivered Marvel’s biggest hit films, are returning to direct Avengers: Doomsday. The film also brings back Robert Downey Jr., who plays the villain Victor Von Doom, also known as Doctor Doom.

Avengers: Doomsday will hit theaters on Dec. 18, 2026. The story will then continue in Avengers: Secret Wars, on the calendar for release on Dec. 17, 2027.
